Hit It Where They Mow

Hit It Where They Mow (Talking Golf In Texas) Hosted by Pat Wheeler. It was the Texas Golf Hall of Fame teacher Harvey Penick who told his star pupils Ben Crenshaw and Tom Kite, "you'll enjoy golf a lot more if you hit it where they wow." Such golfing wisdom is part of the colorful golf history of Texas, a history that is celebrated on Hit It Where They Mow (Talking Golf in Texas) hosted by Pat Wheeler. The shows will feature the players, courses and perspective that make golf the greatest game, all with a decided Texas slant. A native Texan from Tyler, Wheeler played competitive golf in high school and at SMU where he earned a degree in journalism. After a career in insurance, Wheeler returned to his first love of sportswriting and has penned two books -- When Golf Was Fun and The Fringe Runner. He also hosted the radio show Texas Links on the Air for 10 years.
